Featuring glass works by Ben Johnson

River Gallery is proud to present the ‘August Show’, a new art exhibition featuring glass works by CIA professor Ben Johnson. The exhibition will open with a reception on Saturday, August 19th from 3-6pm at River Gallery. The event will be a unique opportunity to meet the artist and view his pieces in person. The exhibition will be on display both in-store and online through October 7th.

All works will be available to view and purchase online at 8 am the morning after the opening.

Johnson uses glass as the medium to create visual stories about our environment. Benjamin plays with pattern and texture to depict intangible micro and macrocosmic worlds. His work engages the viewer and asks them to consider how their presence is connected to and contributes to the visual history of the natural cycles in our environment.

Uninterrupted Optical Sequence by Ben Johnson

An artist committed sculpture, the design of contemporary glass objects, and the architecture of spatial installations, Johnson’s work explores pattern and texture to tell visual stories about our environment. Benjamin wants the viewer to consider their presence in relation to intangible micro and macrocosmic realities. His work considers the impression left from the connective interaction that affect and contribute to a visual history which tells a story of the natural cycles in our environment.
